The Partnership recognizes the critical importance of connecting with knowledgeable professionals and organizations working in the Job Creation and Green Jobs fields. The following is a searchable database of organization and professionals who have proven their expertise in various areas of the green industry.  The following CAAs and affinity nonprofits have generously shared their time and expertise in assisting the Partnership with providing a glimpse of organizations who have demonstrated promising practices in the area of green job creation projects and programs. Agriculture and Land- Based Training Association (ALBA)

The Agriculture and Land-Based Training Association (ALBA) provides educational and business opportunities for farm workers and aspiring farmers to grow and sell crops grown on two organic farms in Monterey County, California.   Its mission is to advance economic viability, social equity and ecological land management among limited-resource and aspiring farmers. ALBA creates opportunities for family farms while providing education and demonstration on conservation, habitat restoration, marketing and whole farm planning.

Community Action Organization Erie County (CAOEC)

For more than 40 years, the Community Action Organization of Erie County, Inc. has helped low-income people and working poor families gain access to opportunities, resources, education and training, and a wide range of programs and services.  CAOEC has 50 locations throughout its service area in Buffalo, NY. It service areas include Children and Family Services, Crisis and Emergency Services, Drug Programs and Services, Employment Training and Services, Housing and Development and  Neighborhood Services.  It has never lost sight of its mission, which is: To provide programs and services that support the emotional and financial well-being of its community.

Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County (CAP Sonoma)

CAP Sonoma County is located in Santa Rosa California and has impacted nearly every neighborhood it serves in Sonoma County. It has been partnering with low income families and individuals to help them achieve economic and social stability; to build community and to advocate for social and economic justice since 1967. Its core services are: Youth and Neighborhood Services Head Start & Early Head Start Health Services,YouthBuild and Housing Services. The agency's mission is: To partner with low income families and individuals to help them achieve economic and social stability, to build community, and to advocate for social and economic justice. 

United Planning Organization (UPO)

Deeply established in the city of the Nation’s capital as one of the most prominent human and social service agencies in the city of the District of Columbia, UPO has fulfilled its mission to: Unite people with opportunism since 1962.  It operates 80 locations and serves over 60,000 eligible residents per year.  UPO has more than 50 programs for children, youth, seniors, homeowners, the homeless, business owners and many other low-income and disadvantaged populations.

Solar Richmond

Solar Richmond is a nonprofit organization that provides solar industry training, staffing services, and free consulting to consumers. Solar Richmond's goal is to create an inclusive green economy that offers opportunities to underemployed residents by closing the loop between their green-collar program graduates and consumers who want to go solar.  Solar Richmond is located in Richmond California and provides consulting services, staffing and in partnership with RichmondBuild, training and employment services. 

WSOS Community Action Agency

WSOS is a Community Action Agency which operates four divisions with forty-eight human service and community development programs benefiting low-income and disadvantaged residents of Wood, Sandusky, Ottawa and Seneca Counties in northern Ohio.  WSOS was established as a Community Action agency in 1965. WSOS takes a proactive role in expanding job opportunities for low-income people in the counties it serves; WSOS operates six "green" industry programs targeted toward you and young adults.  WSOS is located in Fremont Ohio and serves residents in Wood, Sandusky, Ottawa and Seneca Counties. 

GTECH Strategies

GTECH Strategies is a Pittsburgh-based Non-Profit social enterprise dedicated to growing new opportunities to fuel sustainable community development.  Its mission is to revitalize communities through creative, productive and inspiring strategies to fuel a prosperous and inclusive green economy.  GTECH has revitalized 125 vacant lots in thirty communities in Allegheny County in Pittsburg Pennsylvania.
